MADRID, May 25 (Xinhua) -- Spain coach Luis Enrique has called Leeds United defender Diego Llorente into his squad for the forthcoming UEFA Nations League games against Portugal, the Czech Republic and Switzerland at the start of June.
Llorente replaces Manchester City's Aymeric Laporte, who has been forced out of the squad due to injury.
Llorente had previously been included in Enrique's squad in March, but missed the chance due to injury.
The decision means that there is still no place for Real Madrid's Nacho Fernandez, who has had an impressive season, nor for Villarreal's veteran Raul Albiol.
Enrique caused some surprises when he named the squad on Monday with his decision to once again leave Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea out of the squad for the second time. With the World Cup less than six months away, De Gea's place for that tournament must now be in doubt.
