No. 3 seed Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus crushed compatriot and No. 4 seed Victoria Azarenka 6-2, 6-2 on Sunday to win the inaugural Ostrava Open in the Czech Republic.
Sabalenka needed just 68 minutes to secure her seventh career title in the first-ever all-Belarusian WTA final.
Sabalenka broke Azarenka's serve twice in the opening set while tallying 16 winners and just eight unforced errors.
Azarenka, visibly bothered during her serves, called a medical timeout in the second set. Sabalenka broke her serve three more times and put away her third championship point with a big serve.
Azarenka had won two of three head-to-head meetings with Sabalenka, with both previous matches taking place at the U.S. Open.
