MADRID, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) -- The economic and commercial relationships between China and Spain are in a healthy state and are strengthening every day, Cristina Gallach, Spanish Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, said Tuesday.
She made the remarks in a video appearance for an online celebration of the 71st anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, which falls on Oct. 1
The online event was organized by the Chinese Embassy in Spain.
Gallach noted that it's a good day to celebrate the healthy state of the bilateral relationship between China and Spain.
China is one of Spain's most important trade partners, she said, highlighting the Spanish economy's potential offered by China's modernization.
"We continue to advance in our relationship, based on confidence and for the progress of our citizens," Gallach concluded.
Other speakers at the online event include Chinese Ambassador to Spain Wu Haitao, who gave a speech highlighting the importance of China-Spain comprehensive strategic partnership in the new era.
The ambassador noted that Spain has been invited to the third China International Import Expo, which will be held in Shanghai from Nov. 5 to 10.
